NCL-oudy

Sometimes you have a crappy day... sometimes two... sometimes a whole week worth of crappy days. Even with only a single 12 hour long burst of sun this week (as Kara basks>>), this has been a tough week. Not simply because of the most amount of rainfall the GTA has had for awhile, or mental health reasons, or NCLEX studying, but all of them piled up together.

Writing this I am in a rut... Not even my head-sized mantee croissant made me smile (#sadJess). Yesterday evening I dug a nice hole for myself to stay a little bit. I remind myself it will pass. I am going dig deep to take this opportunity to mention my NCLEX-accomplishments this week:

- Listened to Hurst CV and Oncology

- Did >100 Uworld questions related

- Discussed concepts with friends and family

- Took afternoons off when I needed too (<<and did some foot prints with Evan and Karbear)

- Expanded my understanding of lung sounds, oxygen therapy, digoxin, Radiation (including brachytherapy) and Chemo,

- Notably enjoyed exploring Lab Values (**Coagulation, Hemogram, and Cardiac Markers!!) and Rhythm Strips afib {#Antigoac;BB;CCB;Dig], See-saw asystole [#lethal- Atropine;CPR;Defib;Epi;Vasopress], Flatline vfib [#lethal-Amioderone;CPR;Defib;Epi;Vasopress], Chaotic (like trying to draw a straight line on a rickety train) vtach [#Amioderone;CPR;Defib;Epi], Bizzare (Straight up and outward curve down - like my bread cutting) SVTs [#Adenosine;BB;CCB;Dig;Valsava], No P wave (a STEEP incline, drop off, little hill)

- Had many moments of content with my progress

- Received 2 lovely notes from loved ones to remind me I am accompanied by love and strength >>>

Can someone explain Cardioversion?

I hope to make it through the rest of the day, a little lighter on my feet, taking a couple of hours to do a final review of these 6 systems before I put them on hold for a very busy week to come (after a day of rest and such!).

Happy Day.
