Hey Internet World...

It has been suggested by more than one individual that I start a blog about my NCLEX studying journey... that is the lovely journey that follows the four(ish)challenging years of nursing school (RN that is). . . #sass

ps.... Sens made it to the second round...sorry Leaf fans...

So far I am about a week in to my studying, just returning from an up close, real living human with multiple co-morbidities, applicable to my studies this week. I found a beautiful cafe in Kemptville,ON (Geronimo)where I crunched out the last bit of the endocrine system and resp complications(Would love to review this out loud!). Also heard from someone about their thyroid removal #applicable! Loving my miniature plump drawings of mxyedema, SIADH,and Cushings. Whats your fav drawing?

Things that stuck out in Resp:

1. Chest Tube tip

- Intermittent bubbling in Water Seal (b/c you breathe intermittently)

- Continuous bubbling in the suction control (b/c suction is always on)

2. Flail Chests are cool...#intubate #PEEP

3. PEEP can cause a tension pneumothorax #respdistress #vent

4. Ventilator alarms

- High pressure = too hard to work= obstruction

- Low pressure alarm = too easy = disconnection

Feeling a little bummed that my study schedule keeps having to change based on life... Despite not getting my list crossed as desired, I am crafting bird feeders #upcycle #wellness #buddyrider

So hears hoping to a solid morning of Postpartum care followed by GI! #rainydaypredictions

p.s.s Please feel free to add any tips/tricks or corrections! Constructive criticism and correct information is always welcome :D
